AUGUST: “THERE GOES YOUR HEART” 
August is a time for firsts…and a time for goodbyes. Whether it's watching your little one walk through the doors of all-day kindergarten for the first time, or waving to your young adult as he/she heads off to college. The lump in your throat. The pride mixed with fear. It's like watching your heart leave you. My oldest son graduated from high school a year ago. My youngest is a senior this year. I admit, I'm a big softie and am crying like a baby. I wrote “There Goes Your Heart” to capture the feeling.  I hope you enjoy it. If you do, please consider contributing to my tip jar! 

JANUARY: “SONG FOR THE ANGELS” 
If you ever came face to face with an angel, a real life angel, what would you do?
In the Bible, whenever a human encountered an angel, it says they were terrified. 
I think I would be too. And then…ashamed. Oh, what it must be like to go from the presence of God's glory to Earth. To be in the midst of all peace, warmth, and perfection, to the chaos and treachery of this world.  Yeah, I think, if I ever encountered an angel, my first words would be, “I'm sorry.” This song, cleverly titled “Song for the Angels” captures that feeling. MARCH: “BROKEN”
Sometimes we build walls to protect ourselves. Other times, it's to hide what's on the other side. Often, it's both. In this song, titled, “Broken”, I try to capture that idea. Always trying to put on the brave face, be a man's man...but deep inside, hiding the insecurities and failings. As the chorus says, "I'm the captain of my own destiny but I never will be free...'cuz I'm broken."
